بيت زيتون
Lebanese home cooking, the way it is done at home.
Thirty mezze, a charcoal grill and our grandmothers' recipes, in a 1920s stone house in Mar Mikhael.
01
Made this morning
Bread from our oven, hummus by hand, nothing from a jar.
02
Charcoal, not gas
Every skewer and chop goes over oak charcoal, the way it should.
03
The vine terrace
Forty seats under the vines, lanterns at night, booked fast in summer.
From the kitchen

Our story
A house before it was a restaurant
Beit Zeitoun was the Haddad family house for three generations. We kept the arches, the tiles and the olive tree in the garden, and opened the doors in 2019.
Everything is made here every morning: the bread from our oven, the hummus by hand, the kebbeh pounded the old way. The meat comes from a butcher in Zahle we have known for twenty years.

What our guests say
“The best fattoush in Beirut and a terrace you never want to leave. We booked online in a minute.”
“Came for a birthday, they had the table ready with a candle on the knefeh. Lovely team.”
“Feels like eating at a Lebanese friend's house. The lamb chops are perfect.”
